Let the holidays spark a desire to know Jesus

Christmas marks the beginning of God’s plan to save us from eternal death and separation from Him. Jesus was born just as we are, as a baby. He was a full member of His earthly family, a human being. At the same time, He was also God. That’s an important distinction, because a holy, sinless sacrifice was required in order for our sins to be forgiven by believing in Jesus.

Jesus was born into this world to do what no human being is capable of doing. He lived a sinless life; He took the sins of all people upon Himself; He died willingly as a holy sacrifice to God the Father, and He rose from the dead.

In Romans Chapter 5, verse 17, it says:  For if, by the trespass of the one man [Adam], death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ. [NIV Bible]

The new year is a clean slate and a fresh start. It’s a time for change and to start new habits that are good for us. Take this opportunity to start to believe in God!
